History of the company
History of CRRC is closely connected with the development of foreign economic relations between China and Russia in the area of railway transport cooperation and container shipping during the last decade.
May 13, 2008 - China Railway Container Corporation and OJSC TransContainer agreed to establish a joint venture.
August 16, 2008 – first meeting of the working group in Moscow during which a protocol of intent to establish a joint venture was signed.
July 2009 – a meeting of the working group in Beijing starting the procedures of state registering of the joint venture.
October 14, 2009 – General manager Mr.Zheng and Mr Baskakov signed an official document on the foundation of the joint venture.
May 25, 2010 – preparatory works for establishing the company were finished and a business license in China was obtained.
July 14, 2010 – during the meeting between China Railway Container Corporation and OJSC TransContainer detailed ways of business processes were established.
December 6, 2010 – Opening ceremony of the company took place in Beijing.
Due to the increased number of shipped containers in 2012 it was decided to open a branch in Moscow.
August 30, 2013 –Certificate of accreditation and registering the Branch of CHINESE-RUSSIAN RAIL-CONTAINER INTERNATIONAL FREIGHT FORWARDING (BEIJING) CO., LTD” “Rail-Container” (China) in the state register of branches of foreign legal entities.
During all these years we have been adhering to principles of transparent economic policy for both companies – head office in Beijing and branch office in Moscow. We are good faith taxpayers both in China and Russia. The company’s financial performance is audited independently.
In 2015 we became the exclusive carrier of China Railway Corporation’s exhibition stands for INNOPROM 2015 and Expo1520.
The changes in foreign economic relations between Russia and China in recent years have impacted Rail-Container.
Maximum volume of forwarding was reached in 2012, when TEU amounted to 19980. In 2014-2015 TEU equaled to 14834.
The task of the branch of JV “Rail-Container” is to attract customers to a ready system of expedited container shipping. Our company is a part of interaction between China Railway and Russian Railways in the area of container shipping serving the ideals of friendship and openness in conducting international business.
